Civic members can now apply for educational and professional development scholarships through the Credit Union. These scholarships are designed to help members pay for tuition and other program costs.

The scholarship programs are managed by Local Foundation of North Carolina, an organization supported by Civic Federal Credit Union and its sister Credit Union, Local Government Federal Credit Union (LGFCU).

The scholarships are:

• Local Foundation Scholarship, an educational scholarship to help Credit Union members pay for college and trade school expenses
• Administrative Officers Management Program (AOMP) and Law Enforcement Executive Program (LEEP) scholarships for members who work for NC municipal or county law enforcement
• UNC School of Government Scholarship, created for members who work in local and municipal government
