Here are a few FAQs
What does the auto warranty cover?
As a Civic member, your auto warranty will be based on the model, age and mileage of your vehicle. Those plans cover a range of mechanical failures including engine, transmission, electrical, cooling, and more. The coverage depends on the qualifying plan for unexpected mechanical repairs. Regular maintenance of your vehicle is not covered on any plan.
When can I add coverage?
You can protect your vehicle by adding auto warranty coverage during the Civic auto loan process. Also, you can add an auto warranty whether you have an existing Civic car loan, a car loan with another bank or credit union, or no loan at all. You can also add an auto warranty to your loan if you choose to refinance with Civic.
Can I add it after my loan closes?
Yes, please call the Civic Experience Center to find out if your vehicle qualifies.
Is there a deductible?
No, there is no deductible on any of the Civic auto warranty plans through our trusted partner, Route 66.
Where can I get repairs done?
You can go to any repair shop, nationwide.
What is required for repairs to get done?
Prior to beginning any repair work, a staff member at the automotive repair facility must contact the plan administrator (Route 66) and provide basic policy information and an estimate for the recommended work.
1 The extended auto warranty is offered and administered by Auto Services Company, Inc. (dba Route 66), which is a separate entity from Civic Federal Credit Union and its affiliates. The Service Agreement governs the extended auto warranty services and contains all terms and conditions of the extended auto warranty. The Service Agreement will be provided with the quote. The purchase of this auto warranty is voluntary and is not required as a condition of loan approval. A one-time enrollment fee will apply and is dependent upon the year, model, and mileage of each vehicle. The auto warranty services are (1) not federally insured, (2) not obligations of the credit union, and (3) not guaranteed by the credit union or any affiliated entity.
