Bio

Lawrence Jenkins oversees the credit union’s financial strategy, planning, reporting, and long-term fiscal stewardship. In this role, he helps ensure the credit union remains financially strong while supporting its mission to serve North Carolina’s local government employees, volunteers, and their families.

Jenkins started his career in financial services and accounting before joining Civic. With more than 15 years of experience at the credit union, Jenkins has held progressive leadership roles across the Finance division. Throughout his tenure, he has led financial planning and forecasting, regulatory and GAAP financial reporting initiatives that have strengthened the organization’s financial operations and decision-making.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Jenkins holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from North Carolina Central University.

As CFO, Jenkins is committed to responsible financial stewardship, operational excellence, and supporting Civic’s continued growth and service to members across North Carolina.
